  • The works to renovate and modernize a space of 30,000 sqm will begin next July.
  • With the opening of IKEA in the center, and after this renovation, Parque Corredor will become the most modern center in Madrid with a complete commercial offer for all tastes.
  • In addition to current operators such as McDonald’s, Burger King, and Foster’s Hollywood, 20 new brands will be added to this new and renovated space dedicated to dining.

Torrejón de Ardoz, 27 June 2023 – Parque Corredor shopping center, owned by Redevco and managed by Cushman & Wakefield, will begin the comprehensive refurbishment of its 30,000 sqm leisure and dining area next July. The property will invest over 30 million euros in the works, in addition to the 45 million euros invested in the remodeling of the fashion and services area completed in 2021.

The ambitious project will involve the complete transformation of the entire space, including common areas and private premises. Sustainability will play a fundamental role in the center’s renovation, as the highest environmental criteria have been integrated into the project from its conception. Large skylights will be created in a play of triangular shapes that will bathe the common areas in natural light, and recycled materials will be used, such as the ‘new’ glass that will be installed.

All lighting will be state-of-the-art LED, and the air conditioning systems will be renewed to achieve greater thermal efficiency, resulting in a significant reduction in energy consumption and increased comfort for visitors to the shopping center. Similar to the remodeling of the fashion area, access points will also be modified, and the corridors will be widened, taking into account universal accessibility standards to facilitate circulation and stay for visitors, especially those with reduced mobility. The works will be carried out in different phases to ensure the functioning of that area of the center.

Offering an even more attractive experience to our visitors

Existing brands such as Yelmo cinemas, Bowling Park, Paidesport gym, and numerous dining establishments such as McDonald’s, Burger King, 100 Montaditos, Foster’s Hollywood, and TGB, among others, will take the opportunity to fully renovate their facilities and expand their capacity. Thanks to the new configuration of spaces, they will be able to have interior terraces for the greater enjoyment of their customers, offering an even more attractive experience to visitors.

Currently, the commercialization of the future leisure and dining area already reaches 97% of the surface, with significant additions such as Amazonia Wok with a 1,000 sqm premises, whose works have already begun, and others such as Fitz Burger, Pomodoro, Brasa y Leña, Reyna Istanbul, Taco Bell, MasQMenos, Santa Gloria, Popeyes, Sushitokyo, and Sould Park in a 2,800 sqm family entertainment venue. In total, there will be 30 operators to offer a unique experience to the entire public of the Corredor del Henares.

The first remodeling carried out in the fashion area was a resounding success and attracted major brands to the center, such as Zara, with a spectacular store design and a facade height of over five meters, Media Markt, with its Xpress format, and the latest significant achievement, the arrival of IKEA with an innovative 7,500 sqm store concept, which has generated a significant increase in foot traffic to the shopping center since its opening.

Now, Parque Corredor embarks on this ambitious project to establish itself as a leading center in the entire region, thanks to the most complete offer of fashion, leisure, and dining, providing a unique experience to its more than 10 million visitors from its area of influence.
